Data Recovery

The online data backup subscription provides three forms of data recovery.

1. Backup Application: The most common method is the Restore Utility that is included in the Backup Application. Simply select the files and directories to be restored and the target location to restore them.
   
   The Restore Utility also allows the client to select the version of the saved document to restore. For example, if the client had a daily backup schedule, yesterday's version of the document would be available in addition to the day before that, and the day before that. The extent to which previous versions of documents are stored is a user configurable parameter. The default setting is 30 days for file versioning.
   
   
2. Remote Web Access: Data can also be restored through a secure and fully encrypted Remote Web Access utility. This utility allows the client to access stored files from any secure web browser that supports 128 bit encryption. Activation of this option is under the control of the client and can be enabled or disabled during the account creation process.
   
   The Remote Web Access utility is an extremely helpful utility for clients who need access to important materials while traveling or away from the office.
   
   
3. CD or DVD: In the event that the client would like a physical copy of the data, clients may purchase overnight delivery of stored data on CD or DVD.
